Leave a Legacy Through Your Story
Your defining moments can light the path for the next generation of leaders. Leave a mark by contributing your wisdom, your challenges, and the experiences that shaped you.
77 Seconds of Success
77 Seconds of Success is our storytelling initiative created to capture the vulnerable wisdom of top-tier executives and senior leaders. Rising professionals crave authenticity, not theory. They want to hear what actually shaped your leadership—your turning points, your failures, your breakthroughs, and the small choices that changed everything.
This project gathers those moments in the form of 77-second stories— short, powerful insights anyone can quickly learn from.
Together, these stories become a living library of wisdom and vulnerability, accessible on our website, YouTube channel, and social platforms.
You’ve worked hard to become the leader you are today. The challenges you faced, the lessons you learned, and the victories you earned weren’t just for you—they’re part of a legacy that can guide others.
Most leaders don’t have time to write a book or go on a speaking tour. But in just a few minutes, you can share a meaningful story that reaches people around the world through ELM77.
Whether you’re a CEO, founder, senior executive, or seasoned entrepreneur, your journey matters. Aspiring leaders are looking for real people and real stories, and your insight could be exactly what someone else needs to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Below, you’ll find everything you need to record and submit your story. Let’s begin.
Your Story Matters.
If you’re a senior executive, we want to learn from your story.
Here’s how to share it with us:
1. Choose Your Message
Pick one meaningful moment from your career or personal journey that shaped the leader you are today. Aim for a short 60-90 second story, depending on what you feel called to share.
Some story ideas include:
A challenge you had to overcome
A defining career moment
A mentor’s advice that changed your direction
A lesson learned through failure
A moment you realized you were capable of more
A breakthrough that guided your leadership, purpose, or faith
To keep your storytelling focused, feel free to jot down 2–3 bullet points of what happened, why it mattered, and what others can learn from it. NOTE: It’s best to not read or a script— the goal is authenticity and vulnerability, not perfection.
2. Prepare to Film
First, prepare to record vertically, not horizontally (as shown in the image).
Then find a quiet, well-lit space (i.e. face a window so the natural light hits your face— not behind you). Set your phone at eye level on something steady— a window ledge, shelf, stack of books, or tripod— and clean the camera lens before recording.
Wear something comfortable — no need to dress up.
3. Film Your Story & Submit It
Start with a simple intro. Something like: “Hi, I’m John Smith, CEO of X, and I want to share a quick story about perseverance.”
Then walk through your bullet points naturally. Speak like you’re talking to a friend — no need to rush or memorize anything.
We’re looking for real, not perfect.
Once you’ve recorded your story, watch it to make sure that we can see and hear you clearly. Then submit it through the button below along with your info!
